摘要 A converging substrate, an electro-optic device, a substrate for the electro-optic device, a projector, and an electronic apparatus are provided to obtain the display of a high contrast and realize superior reliability by having a displaying unit with the electro-optic device. A projector includes an extra high voltage mercury lamp(101), an integrator(104), a red light transmission dichroic mirror(106R), a reflecting mirror(107), and a space light modulator(110R) for a first color light. The extra high voltage mercury lamp supplies a light having a red light as the first color light, a green light as a second color light, and a blue light as a third color light. The integrator equalizes the illuminance distribution of the light supplied from the extra high voltage mercury lamp. The red light transmission dichroic mirror forms a color separation optical system to selectively transmit a red light and reflect the green light and the blue light. The reflecting mirror reflects the red light to induce the red light to the space light modulator for the first color light. The space light modulator for the first color light modulates the red light as the first color light according to an image signal.
