<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical film capable of high speed drying, free from drying unevenness and having excellent productivity and the optical film manufactured with excellent manufacturing efficiency by the method and having excellent surface quality small in unevenness. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the optical film which has: a coating step for applying a coating liquid containing at least one of a volatile solvent on a film base material; and a drying step for volatilizing and removing the volatile solvent from the applied coating liquid layer, the ratio R(=p/P) of the saturated vapor pressure (p) of the volatile solvent at a temperature in the drying step to the atmospheric pressure (P) is controlled to 0.05-1.5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
