PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning terminal capable of accurately positioning a self position without a positioning device or a device fixedly arranged at a predetermined position circumferentially, and a positioning system using this. SOLUTION: A portable terminal 1 comprises: a short-range radio communication part 1c for performing short-range radio communication; a position coordinate requesting part 1b for acquiring a position coordinate of the portable terminal 2 with a positioning function of a communication partner by the short-range radio communication of the short-range radio communication part 1c; and a position operation part 1a for specifying communicable areas of the short-range radio communication at respective positions of a plurality of the portable terminals 2 based on information about the position coordinate of the plurality of portable terminals 2 and the communicable areas of the short-range radio communication, and for calculating a central position of the areas where these communicable areas are all overlapped as a position of the own portable terminal 1.
