<p>A surgical cutting and fastening instrument is provided to accurately lock a closure trigger on a pistol grip portion, when the closure trigger is withdrawn by using a closure trigger locking mechanism. A surgical cutting and fastening instrument with a closure trigger locking mechanism includes an end effector(12), a main driving shaft assembly, and a handle(6). The end effector includes a movable cutting unit for cutting an object which is placed at the end effector. The main driving shaft assembly is connected to the end effector. The handle includes a pistol grip portion(26), a closure trigger(18), a firing trigger(20), and a closure trigger locking mechanism. The closure trigger enables the end effector to clamp which is arranged on the end effector. The firing trigger is separated from the closure trigger. The closure trigger locking mechanism locks the closure trigger at the pistol grip portion.</p> |
