The cam 82 can be shifted axially to release the stub shaft by acting on the end 96 of a stem 94 The stub shaft may be splined throughout its length for the attachment of an implement or the splines at each end may differ in number as required. The driven shaft 16 is coupled tc the tractor drive shaft 14 by an hydraulically engaged multi-plate clutch 18. The clutch is disengaged by a spring 52, and when the clutch is disengaged the shaft 16 is stationed by a friction brake 58 applied by a spring 60 Application of hydraulic pressure to engage the clutch also supplies pressure through a passage 64 to act on a face 62 of a piston 56 to release the brake. |
