An electron emission device is provided to prevent outgassing from an adhesive layer of upper and lower parts of a spacer by preventing collision of emitted electrons against the adhesive layer. A rear panel(100) and a front panel(200) are opposite to each other. A spacer is disposed between the rear panel and the front panel. A spacer(326) is disposed between the rear panel and the front panel. A first socket(331) is formed over a front end of a rear panel direction of the spacer and a surface of a front panel direction of the rear panel, in order to cover the front end of the rear panel direction of the spacer. A second socket(332) is formed over the front end of the front panel direction of the spacer and the surface of the rear panel direction of the front panel in order to cover the front end of the front panel direction of the spacer.
