<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device for selection operation in a menu displayed mainly on a display means placed in a front panel of a vehicle, and an input unit using the same, where they are easy in operation and capable of input with reliability. <P>SOLUTION: A first moving body 12 is linearly movable side to side. A second moving body 22 is linearly movable back and forth in a direction orthogonal to the moving direction of the first moving body 12. A control means 18 detects an operation position of an operation body 27 placed on the second movable body 22, with a first detection means 17 for detecting an amount of moving of the first moving body 12 and a second detection means 25 for detecting an amount of moving of the second moving body 22. This makes a cursor of a display means 32 move and perform the selection operation in the menu or the like. In this case, since the movement of the cursor and the movement of the operation body 27 resemble each other, an input device 30 is easy in operation and capable of input with reliability, and can be used in the input unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
