PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wipe having a plus effect on sensorial properties of skin and hair. SOLUTION: The water-insoluble base material of cleaning wipe is immersed with a citric acid alkyl ether shown by the general formula (I) wherein R<SP>1</SP>represents an alkyl group derived from an ethoxylated alcohol and represents a linear alkyl group in a fatty alcohol mixture preferably containing 45-75 wt.% of a 12C alcohol, 15-35 wt.% of a 14C alcohol, 0-15 wt.% of a 16C alcohol and 0-20 wt.% of a 18C alcohol, n represents a degree of ethoxylation and represents a number of 5-9, with a proviso that the wt. ratios of a monoester to a diester in the citric acid alkyl ether shall be 3:1 to 10:1. The alcohol mixture is mainly a mixture of capryl alcohol, lauryl alcohol, myristyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol and/or stearyl alcohol in the above mentioned weight ratios. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
