PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector which enables not only the automatic removal of dust by detecting the clogging of a filter of a dust collector but also the accurate detection of the clogging. SOLUTION: The dust collector which has a tank with a suction port for housing dust, an air absorbor for sucking the dust, an exhaust port for exhausting the exhaust from the air absorbor, a filter device for trapping the dust and a dust removal means for removing the dust stuck on the filter device has a pressure detection means for detecting the internal pressure of the filter device and a means which compares a signal of the pressure detection means immediately before the stoppage of the air absorber with the threshold of the preset clogging pressure determined by at least a value of the pressure detection means. A pressure measuring end of the pressure detection means is provided at a location away from the main exhaust path to an exhaust port from the air absorbor. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
