<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating deterioration of a membrane-electrode assembly, accelerating deterioration of a membrane-electrode assembly or a catalyst as constituents of the MEA actually generated in a fuel cell, and semi-continuously and quickly performing an evaluation test of the MEA, and to provide a device for evaluating deterioration of the membrane-electrode assembly used for the method for evaluating deterioration the membrane-electrode assembly. <P>SOLUTION: The method for evaluating deterioration of a membrane-electrode assembly comprises a process of laying an MEA for fuel cell to be evaluated between conductive separators provided with a reaction gas flow passage having a face facing the MEA; a process of injecting deterioration acceleration solution into the reaction gas flow passage and measuring current while deteriorating the MEA by impressing a voltage between the separators; a process of collecting the deterioration acceleration solution from the reaction gas flow passage and drying the MEA; a process of generating power by making the reaction gas flow through the reaction gas flow passage and measuring voltage-current property of the generated power; and a process of evaluating the deterioration of the MEA on the basis of the current generated when the voltage is impressed, or on the voltage-current property of the generated power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
