PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content search device and its search method that can quickly search for content truly desired by a user when searching the content. SOLUTION: A content information DB 202 storing content information about a plurality of contents, including search information, is searched for first content information having search information corresponding to an input keyword (primary search means). The content information DB is next searched for second content information related to the first content information (secondary search means). Information on the searcher's knowledge of the content is read out, and the necessity of the second content information is determined automatically according to the knowledge information (necessity determination means). The first content information and second content information found necessary by the necessity determination means are output as search results (search result output means).
