PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cutter by which operation for cutting hair can be easily done by making size small. SOLUTION: In the hair cutter 10A in which a combtooth-shaped movable blade 30 opposing to a combtooth-shaped fixed blade 29 is reciprocatingly moved by a vibration type linear actuator 13, there is no need to arrange a spring member 31 in a lateral direction between a movable element 18 of the vibration type linear actuator 13 and a body housing 11 by connecting and securing the spring member 31 for resonating the movable blade 30 in a direction of reciprocating vibration F to the movable blade and the fixed blade 29, thereby the body housing 11 can have a substantially cylindrical cross-section for example so as to be able to be easily gripped from any direction and the body housing 11 can be made small, thereby the operation for cutting the hair can be facilitated.
