PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a database retrieval device and a database retrieval method for efficiently performing retrieval including various arithmetic processing requested by each user. SOLUTION: A database retrieval device 1 divides retrieval conditions including arithmetic processing input to a retrieval condition storage means 12 into partial retrieval conditions by a retrieval condition dividing means 22; determines the processing sequence of the plurality of partial retrieval conditions by a processing sequence determination means 24 so that the object data of arithmetic processing can be limited; determines the processing procedure by a first processing procedure determination means 25 and a second processing procedure determination means 26 so that the object data of arithmetic processing can be limited for performing retrieval processing; and executes the retrieval processing by a retrieval processing execution means 27 by using arithmetic function information stored in the arithmetic function storage means 11 according to the determined processing procedure.
