The invention relates to a system, method and devices for measuring the volume of a liquid in a tank. The system includes one or more magnetic field sensors which are used to detect a variation in a control magnetic field produced by an angularly-moving control magnet, said control magnet being magnetically coupled to an adjacent angularly-moving magnetic medium in a tank. The angular movement of the control magnet is produced by the angular movement of the adjacent magnetic medium in accordance with the volume of liquid in the tank. The invention also includes: means for converting a variation in the control magnetic field into a digital signal containing information relating to the angular position of the control magnet, means for converting the information relating to the angular position of the control magnet into information relating to the measurement of the volume of liquid in the tank, and means for displaying the volume measurement information.
