PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phenol resin composition affording a molded product having excellent characteristics of a phenol resin such as heat resistance or curability and even excellent flexibility. SOLUTION: The phenol resin composition comprises an oil-modified novolak type phenol resin and a resol type phenol resin. The oil is preferably one or more kinds selected from cashew nut oil, linseed oil, tung oil, castor oil and tall oil. The oil-modified novolak type phenol resin preferably has 15-60 wt.% oil modification ratio. The phenol resin composition preferably has 5-30 wt.% oil modification ratio. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
