Weighing scales operating method and device

The method involves determining the existence of electrostatic charges at a load (25) e.g. goods, applied to a weighing scale (104) of a weighing machine (101) using an electrostatic sensor (10). Information is fed to a measuring unit (28) with respect to the values representing the charges. The quantity of the determined charges is compared with a predefined threshold value and an action of weighing electronics is activated. An independent claim is also included for a weighing machine for executing an operating method.
