An apparatus and a method for interfacing a channel card and an IF(Intermediate Frequency) board in a wireless communication system are provided to reduce the number of LVDS(Low Voltage Differential Signal) lines between a channel card and an IF board and also reduce complexity of a backboard. Multiplexers(640,650) receive at least one or more transmission antenna signals and combine them into a single antenna signal, and divide an input signal inputted from an IF board(680) into at least one or more reception antenna signals. MGTs(Multi Gigabit Transceivers)(660,670) convert the single antenna signal inputted from the multiplexers into an LVDS, and convert a single LVDS inputted from the IF board into a reception antenna signal and output it to the multiplexers.
