PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element capable of improving luminous efficiency, and of suppressing attenuation of the luminous efficiency and luminance. SOLUTION: This organic EL element is composed by stacking, on a substrate 1, a positive electrode layer 2, a hole injection layer 3, a hole transport layer 4, a luminescent part 5, an electron transport layer 6, an electron injection layer 7, and a negative electrode layer 8. The luminescent layer 5 has three layers of first luminescent layers 10, three layers of hole transport layers 11, and a second luminescent layer 12.
