<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a fuel cell containing a proton conductor having high sustainable electric conductivity even in a high temperature non-humidified condition and capable of enhancing utilization efficiency of a catalyst; to provide the manufacturing method of the electrode, and to provide the fuel cell equipped with the electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode for the fuel cell is equipped with a support and a catalyst layer formed on the support, the catalyst layer contains a carried catalyst and the proton conductor containing P<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>and at least one kind of substance selected from the group comprising B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, ZrO<SB>2</SB>, SiO<SB>2</SB>, WO<SB>3</SB>and MoO<SB>3</SB>, and 60% or more amorphous phase at mass ratio, and the content of the proton conductor is 0.5-60 mass part to 100 mass part of the carried catalyst.
