PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an ink to be eliminated from the top side of a pressing member for holding an absorption member in a cap member. SOLUTION: When a carriage 160 of an inkjet recorder 10 is in a home position, the cap member 270, which raises toward a nozzle plate 166 loaded in the carriage 160 and seals the surface of the nozzle plate 166, is equipped with the absorption member 271 arranged inside the cap member 270, the pressing member 277 which is arranged opposite to the cap member 270 with picking up the absorption member 271 and holds the absorption member 271 onto the cap member 270 and an elastic member 279 which is arranged between the pressing member 277 and the absorption member 271 and elongated so as to contact with both the pressing member 277 and the absorption member 271.
