The candle (1) comprises a wick (2) and odoriferous substances consisting odoriferous depot (D), which encases the wick or is arranged in a candle base material spaced from the wick. The odoriferous substances are releasable by the burning down of the wick. The odoriferous depot is arranged in a recess of the candle. The recess is formed by a form cavity of the candle or that the depot is cast with the material of the candle or is molded. The odoriferous depot is formed in form of multiplicity of elements (3) containing different odoriferous substances. The odoriferous substances are releasable by the burning down of the wick. The odoriferous depot is arranged in a recess of the candle. The recess is formed by a form cavity of the candle or that the depot is cast with the material of the candle or is molded. The odoriferous depot is formed in form of multiplicity of elements (3) containing different odoriferous substances. The elements contain smelling solid, liquid or gel-like components, exhibit sheathing and are arranged one above the other. The elements of the aroma depot release or melt odoriferous substances in temperature effect through the burning of the candle. The elements of the depot is made of components from mineral oil or made of wax from animal or vegetable origin or their combinations and shows liquid or gel-like odoriferous components. The elements of the depot in unused condition of the candle are completely encased from the material of the candle and exhibit another color than the candle. The components contained in the sheathing and/or the sheathing exhibit another color than the candle. Multicolor elements are arranged in the candle base material. The sheathing (5) does not consist of substance melting in temperature effect by the burning candle and is made of plastic, glass, ceramic(s) or metal. The candle base material and/or the sheathing is made of wax or gel from mineral oil or made of wax from animal or vegetable origin or their combinations. The depots are replaceable and smell more strongly or differently than the candle base material.
