A device and a method for reading a data word, the device and the method for storing a data block, and a computer-readable recording medium are provided to correct an error with relatively small memory consumption in quickly reading the data word and checking the error from the read data word. An error checker(150) checks the error if a predetermined relation is not found by checking whether the predetermined data word has the predetermined relation with a related error ID value(130-1 - 130-n). An error corrector(160) corrects the error with a correction value(140) if the predetermined data word has no predetermined relation with the related error ID value. The error corrector uses the correction value to correct the error irrespective of the data words(120-1 - 120-n).
