PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brushless motor that can be miniaturized and that enables arrangement of magnetic sensors that will not accompany cost increase. SOLUTION: The brushless motor 1 comprises a stator 2, having a plurality of teeth portions 24 on which coils 21 are wound via insulators 50, a rotor 3 that has multiple-pole magnets 31 facing the teeth portions 24 with a magnetic gap between them and that is rotatably provided with respect to the stator 2, and magnetic sensors 60 provided on the stator 2 facing the magnets 31. Recessed grooves 41, formed on the outside circumferential surface 40 which faces the magnets 31 of the teeth portions 24, divide the teeth portions 24 into a plurality of small teeth 42 at prescribed pitches to the magnetic poles of the magnets 31. On the insulators 50, nails 55, 56 which are fitted into the recessed grooves 41 of the teeth portions 24 facing the magnets 31 are formed, and in each nail 55, a storage portion 57, in which a magnetic sensor 60 is stored, is formed.
