The proposed method for leveling a radar consists in transmitting the load from the weight of the radar from the wheels of the vehicle, at the platform of which the radar is installed, to the hydraulic supports of the platform, determining the inclination angle (?) of the lateral axis of the platform to the horizontal plane, inclining the platform, by adjusting the height of the side hydraulic supports, so that the lateral axis of the platform is inclined in the opposite direction by the angle of: where ? is the displacement of the side hydraulic supports required for transmitting the load from the wheels to the supports, b is the distance between the side supports, k is the wheel track spacing of the vehicle, if the angle ? is not equal to zero, or inclining the platform to the side of any side hydraulic support if the angle ? is equal to zero, installing the lateral axis of the platform in horizontal position by adjusting the height of the side hydraulic support, and installing the longitudinal axis of the platform in horizontal position by adjusting the height of the front and rear hydraulic supports. The proposed device for the realization of the method contains a front and rear hydraulic supports, two side hydraulic supports, and a hydraulic system for controlling the hydraulic supports. Each side hydraulic support is rated for a force that exceeds the sum of the half of the weight of the platform with the radar equipment and wind load on the radar. The front or rear hydraulic support is rated for a force that is less than the half of the weight of the platform but exceeds the sum of the wind load and the difference of the loads on the side supports. The proposed method and device provide a possibility to increase the mobility of the radar.
