A flat bed type scanning apparatus is provided to reduce the manufacturing cost of the scanning apparatus and reduce noise generated when a scanning operation is performed. A flat bed type scanning apparatus includes a main body, a document mount on which a document is placed, an image reading sensor module(200), a guide rail(400), and a guide slider(300). The document mount is located on the main body. The image reading sensor module reads the document and is movably set under the document mount. The guide rail guides the transfer of the image reading sensor module and is set in the main body. The guide slider slides on the guide rail and is located at one side of the image reading sensor module.
