SOLID-PROPELLANT CHARGE FOR ROCKET ENGINE

FIELD: rocketry, applicable in development and manufacture of solid-propellant rocket engines with insert grain charges. ^ SUBSTANCE: the solid-propellant charge for the rocket engine has a grain with a central passage installed in whose bore an the side of the charge front end face is a tapered bush fastened to the front bottom of the rocket engine. The bush is made of incombustible material and is firmly fastened to the surface of the passage bore. Evenly alternately annular bosses are made on the outer tapered surface of the bush of incombustible material. The bush outer surface is faced with polymeric material having an affinity to the solid propellant. The external surface of the facing is made tapered with a taper value equal to or exceeding the taper of the passage bore before fastening. The bush diameter in the end face section of the charge exceeds the passage bore diameter before pasting in of the bush by 0.1 to 0.3 per cent. The bush surface is fastened to the surface of the passage bore by varnish based on the solution of the polymeric material of the facing. The depth of installation of the faced bush in the passage makes up at least a doubled thickness of the charge burning roof in case of a non-armored front end face of the charge, or at least the thickness of the charge burning roof in case of an armored front end face of the charge. ^ EFFECT: enhanced reliability of the charge due to qualitative fastening of the bush to the solid-propellant grain ensuring the charge serviceability at high breaking loads. ^ 7 cl, 6 dwg
