<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte membrane-electrode assembly having a superior durability by improving adhesiveness (jointing property) of an electrolyte membrane and a catalyst layer. <P>SOLUTION: The electrolyte membrane-electrode assembly comprises an electrolyte membrane 2 and a cathode catalyst layer and an anode catalyst layer arranged on both sides of the electrolyte membrane 2.
