<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image detecting method in which specific image information is included in image data of a document and can precisely be detected in a relatively short time under small influence of interference with the image data of the document without reference to an angle at which the document is placed. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is the method of detecting a specific pattern image imparted to the image data of the document; and the specific pattern image comprises a plurality of dot images Sa and Sb which are linearly arrayed and has one of the plurality of dot images Sa and Sb disposed in the center O of a plurality of concentric circles differing in radius and is detected by detecting other dot images being on the plurality of concentric circles R<SB>1</SB>to R<SB>4</SB>and on a straight line L passing the center O of the concentric circles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
