PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a female terminal with a guidance strip which assures the strength by employing a tubular body, substantially relieves loading applied to a spring strip using the oblique insertion method to greatly reduce the oblique insertion inclination angle when a male terminal hits against the spring strip, and achieves easy manufacturing. SOLUTION: The female terminal is provided with a tubular body 110 and a connector 120. On each of two vertical walls 112 of the body, a spring strip 113 is raised up by cutting which is formed such that the inner end in a depthwise direction is a fixed end 113a. The front side end is a free end 113b. The free end comes close to a vertical wall in opposition to the corresponding vertical wall. On each of the front side ends in the depthwise direction of two vertical walls, a guidance strip 114 is provided to cover the area between the front side end in the depthwise direction of the vertical wall and the top end of the spring strip using a plate strip inflected from the vertical wall to the inner side of the body.
