PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemically stable, large and uniform thin wall fluorescent composite glass which exhibits high energy conversion efficiency, a fluorescent composite glass green sheet and a process for production of the fluorescent composite glass. SOLUTION: The fluorescent composite glass produced by firing a mixture containing a glass powder and an inorganic fluorescent powder exhibits an energy conversion efficiency to a visible light area having a wavelength of 380-780 nm of 10% or more when it is irradiated with a light having an emission peak in a wavelength area of 350-500 nm.
