<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint which prevents fluid from leaking outside even when driving a valve element. <P>SOLUTION: A pipe joint 1 comprises: a body 4 which includes an inflow passage 9 of fluid, accommodates a substantially spherical valve element 13 provided with a through flow passage 14 passing through the center thereof, has an opening 18 through which a driving member 16 for driving the valve element 13 passes, and receives a plug 3 constituting a fluid outflow passage 26; a sleeve 5 which is slidably provided to the outer periphery of the body 4 and engaged with the driving part 16 and which drives the valve element 13 by rotation between an opening state for keeping the through flow passage 14 of the valve element 13 communicating with the inflow passage 9 and a closing state for closing the inflow passage 9 on the outer surface of the valve element 13; and an O ring 19 for sealing the clearance between the body 4 and sleeve 5 on both sides of the opening 18 respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
