APPATURUS AND METHOD FOR REMOTE NAME ACQUISITION IN BLUETOOTH SYSTEM

An apparatus and a method for acquiring a remote name in a Bluetooth system are provided to obtain more remote name with respect to a Bluetooth within a given time by reducing a page expiry time. A controller(310) aligns devices which have transmitted a response to an inquire request according to RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication) size, performs a remote name acquiring process in the aligned RSSI order, and reduces a delay time in the remote name acquiring process by changing an expiry time of a connection process during the remote name acquiring process. A baseband processing unit(325) changes the expiry time of the connection process during the remote name acquiring process and provides information between the controller and an interface module(320). The interface module transmits Bluetooth communication information through the baseband processing unit.
