摘要 A mobile communication repeater using a laser beam is provided to basically eliminate a variation of a reference frequency in accordance with a temperature by not using a local oscillator which makes a downlink or an uplink conversion of a frequency of a wireless signal, transmitted or received to or from a base station, in installing the base station at a dead spot or an extended service area based on the laser beam. A mobile communication repeater using a laser beam comprises a duplexer(120), the first low noise amplifier(130), a front end amplifier(135), a laser driver(140), a laser diode(145), an optical signal receiver(170), a band pass filter(180), the second low noise amplifier(185) and a power amplifier(190). The duplexer(120) filters a wireless signal of a wanted frequency among high frequency signals transmitted or received via an antenna, and outputs the filtered signal to a transmission or a receipt channel. The first low noise amplifier(130) receives the high frequency signal outputted via a receipt channel of the duplexer(120), checks a noise and amplifies the received high frequency signal. The front end amplifier(135) amplifies the signal outputted by the first low noise amplifier(130). The laser driver(140) controls generation of a high frequency laser beam according to the signal outputted by the front end amplifier(130). The laser diode(145) generates the laser beam according to the control of the laser driver(140), and transmits the high frequency laser beam to a neighbor laser repeater via a transmission lens. The optical signal receiver(170) includes a photo diode for generating a high frequency electric signal in response to the laser signal received via the receipt lens whose frequency is more than 2GHz and an amplifier for receiving the output of the photo diode and amplifying the power. The band pass filter(180) detects the high frequency signal of a wanted frequency band among the high frequency signals received via the amplifier of the optical signal receiver(170). The second low noise amplifier(185) receives the signal outputted by the band pass filter(180), checks a noise and amplifies the received signal. The power amplifier(190) receives the signal outputted by the second low noise amplifier(185), amplifies the received signal, and outputs the amplified signal to a transmission channel of the duplexer(120).
