PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a streak resulting from nonejection of a droplet ejector or bending of ejecting direction thereof, and to enhance the quality of image. SOLUTION: In the droplet ejector 10 comprising a recording head 20 for ejecting an ink droplet, and a reaction liquid head 24 ejecting a reaction liquid droplet for thickening, aggregating or making insoluble the components of ink droplet, at least the recording head 20 among the recording head 20 and the reaction liquid head 24 is made to perform scanning a plurality of times relatively to the same region of a recording sheet. Droplet ejection of the recording head 20 and the reaction liquid head 24 is controlled such that, among the plurality of times of scanning, the ratio of imparting amount of reaction droplet per unit area of a recording medium to imparting amount of ink droplet per unit area of a recording sheet in the first time scanning becomes a first range, that ratio in the second and subsequent times of scanning becomes a second range higher than the first range, and that ratio in the first time scanning becomes smaller than that in the second and subsequent times of scanning.
