PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap cleaning method which enables the simple cleaning of a cap at a low cost by a cleaning material without damaging the cap. SOLUTION: The cap cleaning method has a precess for removing the discharged matter bonded to the discharge port and discharge surface of the cap by pressing a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape having a pressure-sensitive adhesive to the cap and subsequently peeling the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape from the cap.
