<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking brake device having an operation lever on a seat without impairing any advantage that the parking brake device is simple and inexpensive, and without changing any effective length of a brake cable. <P>SOLUTION: In the parking brake device 1 in which an operation lever 11 is provided on a seat 2 of a driver's seat, and a brake operation unit 15 for pulling a brake cable 16 in response to the rotational operation of the operation lever 11 is arranged on a vehicle body, the operation lever 11 and the brake operation unit 15 are connected to each other via a flexible intermediate cable 14, the intermediate cable 14 is pulled by the rotational operation of the operation lever 11, and the pulling motion of the intermediate cable 14 is transmitted to the brake operation unit 15.
