<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp housing and a protective cover for the lamp housing, with which the installation work of a light source apparatus in a projector apparatus and the lamp replacement work can be performed simply and safely, and the safety at the transport can be maintained, and to provide a method of replacing the lamp in high safety and reliable manner, with satisfactory workability in the light source apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The substantially rectangular box type lamp housing comprises a housing body, covering five side faces other than one side face and the freely detachable protective cover, covering the one side face. A through hole is formed in the wall surface facing the protective cover of the housing body, and a partitioning member, extending toward the wall surface facing the protective cover, is provided in the corner of the protective cover. When the protective cover is attached with the housing body, a working cavity partitioned from a cavity, where the light source lamp is stored is formed between the partitioning member and the wall surface of the housing body, and an external feed terminal is allowed to face the working cavity via the through hole. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
