<p>Consistuents are mixed and kneaded to form a homogeneous basic mix which is liquified and thereafter dewatered and degassed under reduced pressure. Resultant mix is passed without rolling or tumbling to a bin or a further stage. Two co-operating screws form the combined dewatering and degassing stage. Elimination of rolling mills and conches following the mixing and kneading stage speeds up and renders the process cheaper since the process can be made continuous in their absence.</p> |
