PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which facilitates rapid rising of a charge amount, excels in contradictory two properties of increasing the charge amount and suppressing charge-up, can form good images of high image quality in various environments, reduces contamination of a photoreceptor drum which is the center of a process to a minimum, and can withstand use under high stress. SOLUTION: In the toner 100 for electrostatic latent image development with internally added magnetic particles 101, the magnetic particles 101 have an average particle diameter of 0.01 to 0.50μm and a particle shape of a hexahedron which is a convex polyhedron bounded by six quadrangles, wherein each vertex and edge of the hexahedron have a curved surface shape but the hexahedron has a straight line part at a peripheral part of a projected image thereof. The toner 100 has a circularity of≥0.94 to≤0.98 and an abundance ratio of toner particles 100 whose particle diameter is≥0.6 to≤2.0μm is≤10% by number. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
