PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device of a vehicle capable of achieving following steering control without giving rise to a sense of incongruity even when a preceding vehicle changes due to interruption and departure of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A control unit 5 computes a controlling target value in accordance with a position of the preceding vehicle and a position of the self vehicle 1 and temporarily reduce control gain of feed-back control when a change of the preceding vehicle is determined by a stereo picture image recognition device 4 in the following steering control to compute a steering controlled variable by the feed-back control in accordance with the controlling target value. Consequently, it is possible to achieve the following steering control without the sense of incongruity even when the preceding vehicle changes due to interruption and departure of the vehicle.
