A traveling vehicle having a vehicle body (12), a wheel (15) rotatably supported at the vehicle body and placed on one axis, an occupant placement section (13) supported on the vehicle body and placing an occupant on it, vehicle body attitude detection means for detecting the attitude of the vehicle body, and vehicle body attitude control means for controlling the vehicle attitude detected by the vehicle body attitude detection means. When inertia force or centrifugal force occurs by acceleration, deceleration, or turning motion of the traveling vehicle, the occupant placement section moves so as to balance with the inertia force or centrifugal force. Also, the traveling vehicle has occupant attitude control means for controlling the attitude of the occupant according to a value detected by the vehicle body attitude detection means.
