摘要

A backlight unit and an LCD having the same are provided to improve the brightness through scattering of light, by using a light scattering film to suppress the total reflection of light exiting in an inclination direction. An organic light emitting element is formed on a substrate(21), wherein the organic light emitting element emits white light. A sealing member(23) is formed on the substrate to seal the organic light emitting element. A light scattering film(25) is positioned at an exit side of the light, which is emitted from the organic light emitting element. The light scattering film is disposed on one of surfaces, which are formed by the substrate, the organic light emitting element, and the sealing member.
