The method involves positioning a cartridge, containing a powdery product to be distributed, in a dispenser (10) using a coupling unit, where the unit has an identification unit, with a radio frequency identification tag, positioned on a flap. The cartridge is automatically recognized by the dispenser so as to recognize the product in the cartridge. Number of necessary doses is adjusted based on the product in the recognized cartridge, and the doses are dispensed. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for dispensing a dose of a powdery product (2) a cartridge for a dispenser.
