An image forming method for borderless printing and an apparatus therefor are provided to allow a user to adjust a position of a margin region which is not printed on media in the borderless printing, and reduce power consumed in the printing. A user input unit(130) allows a user to set a printing size of a printing image and a printing region to be printed in the printing image which is bigger than the printing size. A control unit(110) adjusts printing image data according to the set printing region. A printing unit(120) prints an image by using the adjusted printing image data.
