A liquid crystal display device is provided to control a mismatch between pattern pitches of a panel pattern part and a light collecting part of a prism sheet in the range from 0.3 to 0.7 and realize a haze value of a diffusion layer on a polarization plate in the range from 35% to 55%, thereby improving moire phenomena. A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel, a backlight for radiating light to the panel, and a prism sheet interposed between the panel and the backlight and having a light collecting pattern part on a surface facing the panel. When a pattern pitch of a panel pattern part(35) and a pattern pitch(P) of the light collecting pattern part(23) satisfy a formula 0.3<=(A/p-N)<=0.7, N satisfies an integer to the left of a decimal point among A/p values. A diffusion layer is formed on a surface of a polarization plate and has a haze value in the range from 35% to 55% by forming beads. |
