The system has a call transfer platform (10) transferring a call of a called communication terminal (6) e.g. telephone, towards a called communication terminal (8). Recognition and identification units (16, 18) are connected to a configuration unit (14) to determine network identifiers of the terminals. The terminal (8) is connected to a local area network that is connected to a network (2) e.g. public switched telephone network, by a private automatic branch exchange (PABX) automatic switch. The unit (16) recognizes one identifier permitting direct access to the terminal (8) from the network. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for transferring call on a network (2) a method for configuring a transfer platform for transferring the call on a network (3) a program comprising a set of instructions for transferring a call.
