Method of operating an x-ray computer tomography apparatus for generating angiograph images having selectable first and second operating modes

The method involves, in a selectable first operating mode for generating sectional images, a patient lying on a bed is moved in the x direction relative to the measurement system. A region to be examined is irradiated by rotating the measurement system and the x-ray beams which exit the examined region are detected by a first matrix detector. In a second mode for generating angiographic images, the patient is not moved in the x direction. The entire region to be examined is irradiated at a given angle of the measurement system and the exiting beams are simultaneously detected by a matrix detector. Independent claims also cover an x-ray computer tomograph and the use thereof.
