Coating method involves application of a low-energy undercoating on a surface which is to be coated. Subsequently a layer is applied which is liquid in the pressure and temperature range and contains or consists of a cross-linkable substance. A plastic coating is applied on the liquid layer by separating and cross-linking of a cross-linkable substance from a gas phase. An independent claim is also included for the coated body.
