PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of detecting a deviation between the center of the optical axis of light rays made incident on an imaging element and the center of the imaging element. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with an image pickup part 2 provided with an imaging element 1 for picking up an image of observation light 18 from a microscope body 11, a PC 3 for detecting the position of the center of the imaging element 1 and the position of the optical axis center of the observation light 18 made incident on the imaging element 1, and a monitor 4 for displaying the position of the center of the imaging element 1 and the position of the optical axis center of the observation light 18 made incident on the imaging element 1.
