PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair cosmetic that has an excellent conditioning effect on the hair, excellent moisture retaining effect on the scalp and the hair, inhibitory effect on scalp dandruff and itch and does not cause greasiness in the hair and the skin. SOLUTION: The hair cosmetic comprises (A) a cationic surfactant, (B) a 12-24C higher alcohol, (C) a silicone compound, (D) a dandruff inhibitor and (E) a polyalkylene glycol.
